About
I care a lot about what others my users think.
My approach
Advocating for user needs:
I’m all for concise communication—less is more when it comes to mico-copy in the information age. But I’m not one to cut corners, I don’t sacrifice clarity for brevity.Instead, I find creative ways to weave copy into the design, tucking words into just the right places. Users only need information relevant to their current step, so I apply progressive disclosure to meet them where they are, breaking information into bite-sized bits.
Asking the right questions
Before I write a single word, I try to deeply understand every nook and cranny of the product. I need to know every dev limitation and anticipate any hiccups the user might encounter so I can guide them effectively. I’m not afraid to ask the PM, UX Designer, and dev a thousand "stupid" questions until I have clarity, because that’s how I can create true clarity for the user. In doing so, I might uncover gaps in the product and design. UX content guides the user, but I understand its limitations—sometimes, addressing gaps requires changes in product behavior or visual design to make the experience feel seamless.
Enjoying the ride
I genuinely enjoy piecing together the puzzle that is a UX experience. Words play a crucial role in weaving ideas together and providing support, and I love harnessing their power in collaboration with the designer. Thinking out loud, brainstorming together, and finding the right balance between design and content is one of the most enjoyable parts of the process for me.
